Hiking adventures at Colby Ranch...

I'm housesitting for the McConnells up at Colby Ranch this weekend.  I come up here every year for the Jr. High Camp for my church and love it.  It's honestly one of my favorite places.  I just came back from a hike and I love this place even more!  I've never gone hiking on the trails up here (I don't even think I've ever really gone hiking period!) and I never realized just how truly beautiful this place really is.  I came across this one view (not the one pictured unfortunately) that is just absolutely amazing and I can't even believe the beauty that the Angeles National Forrest actually holds.  I mean, sure I've always loved driving up here because I love experiencing the nature that God created.  I truly feel like this place is holy and every time I come up here, it just reaffirms my faith that there is a God because who else could create such wondrous beauty and majesty?  It's absolutely amazing at how nature and being in nature can do that.  I can't tell anyone enough how much I love coming here.  I always hate going home after being up here because when I am up here, I feel like I'm in a bubble because I'm away from everything; my everyday people, cell phones, life in general.  It's wonderful.  But every time I have to leave, and it makes me sad; but then, I ALWAYS look forward to coming back.  And, eventually, I always do.
